Kenivah Bockari, better known as DJ KenZo, was raised in Stockton California by his two parents Martha and Sam who originally came from from Sierra Leone Africa. This served as a catalyst for his early love of artists like Oliver N’goma & Bunny Mack, American Artist Prince, Michael Jackson, and Dr. Dre. His African cultural roots, which celebrate life, marriage, and family, ended up being a driving factor in the reason he became a DJ - to further express these passions through music.
Young Kenivah grew up with the vibrance of African celebration all around him and was influenced by many African DJs including his Uncle Muhamed, DJ Sensai, and DJ Leone. His style reflects his background and is coupled with the infectious "Kenergy" when engaging the crowd. He got his first big break spinning for Nef the Pharaoh, and since then he has spun all over Northern California and shared the stage with Raekwon, Snoop Dogg, and Too Short.
